Excelsior College, a regionally accredited, virtual, private, nonprofit institution of higher learningis seeking dynamic applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant in our Student Success Center. Summary Reporting to the executive director and supporting the Student Success Center team, the administrative assistant will perform diversified administrative functions which require the ability to learn and apply established policies and practices. Productive organizational skills and excellentinterpersonal communication skills are required to ensure that special projects and the daily work flow are organized, prioritized, and accurately completed within prescribed time frames. This is a full time position based at 7 Columbia Circle, Albany, NY. Responsibilities Schedule administrative meetings, forums,and appointments Record minutes of staff meetings and College-wide committees Support and coordination of webinars using Adobe Connect Develop and maintain unit intranet and SharePoint sites Provide administrative support for publication and maintenance of the Success Files blog Organize and track office expenditures and staff travel Answer telephone and provide information to callers or route calls to appropriate contact Assist and support with Centercommunications relating to student support, College issues, staff, and external businesses Process confidential and routine correspondence and reports as assigned Transcribe notes on computer, or from voice recordings Create, modify, maintain databases and administrative directories Develop and maintain updated filing systems Support and assist with coordination of logistical activities associated with Centerplanning, training, and information sessions Greet visitors, ascertain nature of business, and direct visitors to appropriate person Work flexible hours as needed Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
